Hauraton with two-digit growth in the home market of Germany
2020: High capacity utilisation in sales, production and logistics despite pandemic
In the continually strong German construction industry, Hauraton was able to win many projects. The consistently high order intake in the past year has ensured permanent capacity utilisation in all areas of our organisation. With the resulting total turnover of around 98 million euros, the previous year's result was confirmed.
Major international projects such as the Moto Grandprix, a race track in Lombok, Indonesia, with an order volume of more than 2.5 million euros, contributed to the dynamics. Marcus Reuter: "Our export markets have suffered in very different ways from the Corona measures. Poland, France and Great Britain, for example, were affected by hard lockdowns. However, we were able to compensate for the sales declines in many countries with two-digit growth in our home market."
Newer product ranges generate sales growth
Dachfix, Recyfix Point and the service channels stand out as the year's success products. The Dachfix product range, which is tailor-made for facades, terraces and flat roofs, has been made even more interesting for planners and architects through new features and is enjoying great acceptance. Currently, for example, it has been used on the entire façade of the hybrid high-rise building One Forty West in Frankfurt am Main. The same applies to the new generation of the Recyfix Point. The product, which is often used as a courtyard inlet, has been given a facelift in 2020 in terms of appearance and important functional elements. Supporting details for installation and use were added.
Hauraton's service channel range also performed excellently in the current financial year. The service channel secures access to ground-laid cable and wire routing on surfaces that are sometimes driven over with high wheel loads. This year, the ZDF Fernsehgarten in Mainz, among others, has opted for a comprehensive use of service channels. Various large orders have also already been placed for 2021.
Pro environment: focus on research and development
Hauraton traditionally stands for ingenuity and new developments. Even in times of the pandemic, the company has not slowed down in research and development. Currently, trend-setting innovations in the field of fibre-reinforced concrete are on the agenda which will increase both the performance and sustainability of the Faserfix products. "The innovations will be presented in 2021 and will take into account the latest findings as well as ecological requirements to a high degree," Marcus Reuter announced.
The focus will continue to be on rainwater management, especially the cleaning of rainwater from heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and microplastics. With the filter systems Drainfix Clean for traffic areas and Sportfix Clean for artificial turf sports fields, unique product solutions are offered that are easy to install and extremely low-maintenance.
New orientation in Export and Product Management
In the past few months, the company has set a new strategic course for the future in the areas of product management and export. The newly created management position of Export Manager was filled by Rüdiger Simonis. Christoph Ochs took over as Head of Product Management. Both managers come from our own ranks. This has created important prerequisites for achieving our export goals and pushing new product developments," says Marcus Reuter. "At the same time, we are continuing to drive forward our efforts to intensify digital construction support, e.g. in Building Information Modelling (BIM)."
