New Fibretec design slotted grating: Now in nominal width 150 loadable up to class C 250

Award-winning design, robust high-tech material - completely corrosion-free

Hauraton is adding another channel grating in Fibretec design to its range. The grating made of polyamide, which can withstand loads up to class C 250, will be available for the Recyfix PRO and Faserfix KS channel systems with nominal width 150 from March 2021 on. Previously, this grating design was available for the nominal width in load class B 125. With this new product, Hauraton confirms its role as a pioneer in the use of future-oriented high-tech polyamide for drainage systems.

"With the additional load class, it is now possible to implement projects with a high hydraulic demand in a continuous grating design," said Heiko Schmidt, Sales Manager at Hauraton. The material of the product innovation features special properties: it is extraordinarily insensitive to breakage, non-conductive and free of corrosion - the prerequisite for a long-lasting, high-quality appearance in coastal regions, among others.

Ideal solution for drainage systems with large channel cross-sections
The wider nominal channel width enables a significantly higher hydraulic performance, says Schmidt: "This is of immense importance for construction projects now and in the future. It is crucial as rainfall events are becoming more and more extreme and surface water must be collected and drained quickly." Wider nominal widths are therefore in high demand in practice. The new grating in load class C 250 gives planners more flexibility for a uniform appearance of the drainage solution and for a consistently high load-bearing capacity. Another plus point in terms of appearance and versatility: the unmistakable Fibretec design can now also shine when different nominal widths are used within a property with the same load class.

Performance assured through robust high-tech material

The polyamide material for the grating was optimised for the new application: Glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, in combination with the specially developed design, offers special stability and thus safety for planners and investors. "The new Fibretec design slotted grating naturally complies with EN 1433 and additionally meets the much stricter requirements of the German DIN 19580," Schmidt emphasised.


The material makes it: light, durable, resistant
The high-tech material shows its performance at all levels: On the one hand, the material is particularly break-proof and resistant to frost and de-icing salt. On the other hand, it is much lighter than conventional covering materials such as ductile iron or steel and thus much easier to transport and install. Durably elegant appearance in accentuated design and reliable functionality are guaranteed for many years.
